Some years ago, when I began to take my art to a higher level, I found how difficult it was as a wife and mother of small children. In a conversation with my husband I was expressing my frustrations with time management and balance of work and family. I went on to discuss how how many pieces Van Gough completed, with not having all of the distractions as I do. My husband replied with "Well he had a lot of time on his hands." I thought wow that's a great idea for a painting, and a series. So in a whimsical, colorful, fashion, I created these works with a play on words and phrases. I pay tribute to several of the masters in each piece. This series secured my first gallery showing and press. All of the original works are in private collections throughout the US.
